Terms of Use

Effective date: 6 September 2025
Last updated: 6 September 2025

Welcome to FastFileLink ("FastFileLink", "we", "us", "our").
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our websites, apps, software, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1) What we do

FastFileLink lets you create an instant HTTPS link to share large files via peer‑to‑peer (P2P) transfer or, if you choose, a temporary cloud upload so recipients can download while you're offline. Recipients can download without creating accounts.

2) Eligibility & accounts

• You must be legally capable of entering into a contract in your place of residence. If you act on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
• Senders may create or activate a license; recipients typically do not need an account.

3) License to use the software

We grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to install and use our software solely for your personal or internal business purposes and strictly in accordance with these Terms. You may not: (a) reverse engineer or circumvent security; (b) modify or create derivative works; (c) rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or time‑share the Service; (d) use any automated means to access or disrupt the Service.

4) Acceptable Use & Prohibited Content

You are responsible for the content you share and for keeping your links private. You must not use the Service to store, share, upload, download, transmit, advertise, or solicit any of the following (examples are illustrative, not exhaustive):

4.1 Illegal content and activity

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexual content involving minors in any form (including drawings, animations, deepfakes, grooming, or sexualization of minors), or content that exploits or endangers children.
• Human trafficking, non‑consensual intimate imagery, doxxing, stalking, threats, or solicitation of sexual services.
• Incitement to violence, terrorism, or hate crimes; harassment that targets protected characteristics.
• Content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights (e.g., pirated software/media, unauthorized personal data dumps).
Dangerous or unlawful activities, including how‑to instructions for crimes; weapons trafficking; creation/distribution of malware, spyware, ransomware, or exploits; illegal drugs; fraud; or activities that violate sanctions/export controls.

4.2 Network & service abuse

• Bypassing or attacking security, rate limits, or access controls; scanning or probing networks; interfering with other users' access; distributing viruses or harmful code.
• Using the Service for spamming, bulk unsolicited messages, or deceptive/impersonation schemes.

4.3 Enforcement

We may (but are not obligated to) monitor, review, block, remove, or disable links or transfers that we reasonably believe violate these Terms or the law. We may suspend or terminate your access and preserve or disclose information when we believe it is necessary to: (a) protect anyone's safety; (b) comply with law or legal process; (c) enforce these Terms.

Zero‑tolerance for child exploitation. We promptly report apparent CSAM to the appropriate authorities (e.g., law enforcement or reporting hotlines such as NCMEC, as applicable) and permanently ban involved accounts/devices.

5) Content ownership

You retain your rights in your files. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non‑exclusive license to process your content solely to operate the Service (e.g., generate/share links, relay data, store files you choose to upload, perform abuse detection). We do not claim ownership of your files.

6) How transfers work (summary)

P2P / Relayed P2P: File data flows between you and the recipient; our infrastructure may relay encrypted traffic but does not persist file contents. Minimal session metadata (e.g., IP address, timestamps, transfer size) may be processed and retained for up to 30 days for operations, security, and billing, then deleted.
Temporary Cloud Upload: If you opt in, files are stored until expiry or deletion and then removed from active systems; backups are cleared within a reasonable period. Anyone with the link can access the file while it is valid—share links only with people you trust.
• For details on personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

7) Payments, licenses, and credits

We may offer one‑time licenses and usage credits instead of subscriptions. Prices, taxes, and terms are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment partners; we do not store full card details. Except where required by law, all purchases are final. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact support@fastfilelink.com within 14 days. We may modify offerings or pricing prospectively.

8) Third‑party services

The Service may depend on third‑party infrastructure (e.g., hosting, relay, signaling, analytics, payments). Your use of third‑party services may be subject to their terms and policies.

9) Intellectual property

The Service, software, and all related IP are owned by FastFileLink and its licensors. We reserve all rights not expressly granted. You may not remove or alter proprietary notices.

10) Copyright & IP complaints

If you believe content shared via our Service infringes your rights, submit a notice with sufficient detail so we can locate the material (include the link ID/URL) and your contact information. Your notice should include: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the material and its link/ID; (3) your contact info; (4) a good-faith statement; and (5) a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized. Send to: support@fastfilelink.com (DMCA Agent). Where applicable, you may send a DMCA‑style notice to our designated contact listed below. We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material and, in appropriate circumstances, terminate repeat infringers.

11) Security

We use industry‑standard protections, including HTTPS/TLS. No service is 100% secure; you are responsible for maintaining appropriate security on your devices and for safeguarding your links and license keys.

12) Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied (including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non‑infringement, and uninterrupted/ error‑free operation).

13) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FastFileLink and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) US$50 or (b) the amount you paid to us in the 6 months preceding the claim.

14) Termination

We may suspend or terminate the Service, your license, or any link at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including suspected violations of these Terms or risk to the Service or others. You may stop using the Service at any time. We may preserve minimal records as required by law and for abuse-prevention. Provisions that by nature survive termination (e.g., ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, governing law) continue to apply.

15) Governing law & venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China), without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules. Unless a different forum is required by law, you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Taipei, Taiwan.

16) Export & sanctions compliance

You represent that you are not subject to sanctions and will not use the Service in or for the benefit of any embargoed or restricted country, person, or activity under applicable export‑control and sanctions laws.

17) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make materially adverse changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Plain‑language summary (not a substitute for the Terms)

You can share files via P2P or a temporary cloud link. Don't share anything illegal, harmful, or exploitative—especially anything involving children—or anything that violates others' rights. We use HTTPS and standard security, but links are powerful, so keep them private. If you break the rules, we can block links and ban accounts, and we report child‑exploitation material to authorities.
